I took a break but I'm back soooo.... yeah
I had to take some time off to work on my website http://paulherringart.com/ ( which still needs a bit of tweaking ). I've learned a lot through the process and taking lots of criticism. At the end of the day its all about whether I'm happy or not happy with the results. Opinions are just that...opinions. I'm not saying don't push any idea to its maxium level, but go with your gut dispite what others may say.

True story
The other day in class, my professor asked if we could find a font that fit with the words sunset, morning, birth, death, love, and greed. After a few minutes passed I got to the word love and got stuck. I searched around the room to see what everyone had done for love, hoping to find some type of inspiration. More time passed and suddenly the professor asked if we could walk around the room to see the fonts and designs that people had come up with. When it was my turn to "share" I simply said, "I didn't know what to do with love." My professor replied, " Who does?"

What if...
What if you had the ability to travel through space and time w/o being abled to change anything that you saw? Would you stay where you are presently or seek out your future/ past?

Wikipedia's Definition of African American / Black People... Please read it all and leave a comment
Pulled directly from Wikipedia:
African Americans (also referred to as Black Americans or Afro-Americans) are citizens or residents of the United States who have origins in any of the black populations of Africa.[2] In the United States, the terms are generally used for Americans with at least partial Sub-Saharan African ancestry.
Most African Americans are the direct descendants of captive Africans who survived the slavery era within the boundaries of the present United States, although some are—or are descended from—immigrants from African, Caribbean, Central American or South American nations.[3] As an adjective, the term is usually spelled African-American.[4]
African American history starts in the 17th century with indentured servitude in the American colonies and progresses onto the election of an African American as the 44th and current President of the United States – Barack Obama. Between those landmarks there were other events and issues, both resolved and ongoing, that were faced by African Americans. Some of these were: slavery, reconstruction, development of the African-American community, participation in the great military conflicts of the United States, racial segregation, and the Civil Rights Movement.
Black Americans make up the single largest racial minority in the United States and form the second largest racial group after whites in the United States.[5]
The term black people usually refers to a racial group of humans with skin colors that range from light brown to nearly black. It is also used to categorize a number of diverse populations together based on historical and prehistorical ancestral relationships. Some definitions of the term include only people of relatively recent Sub Saharan African descent (see African diaspora). Among the members of this group, brown skin is most often accompanied by the expression of natural afro-hair texture. Other definitions of the term "black people" extend to any of the populations characterized by dark skin, a definition that also includes certain populations in Oceania and Southeast Asia....side note: That's a lot of people that they just grouped together.[1][2].
— Common connotations —
darkness, secrecy, Power, mystery; silence and concealment; death (including execution) and bereavement; Fear, antagonist, strong, (with orange) Halloween; end, chaos, and lack; evil, bad luck, and crime; conversely, elegance, anarchy, Rebellion, Non-Conformity, Individuality

Question 1:
If the term African American describes "Americans who have origins in any of the black populations of Africa", how can the term "black people" extend to any of the populations characterized by dark skin, a definition that also includes certain populations in Oceania and Southeast Asia?
Question 2:
If black is the obsorbtion of all light / achromatic (hueless), how could the term black be used as an adjective to describe "a racial group of humans with skin colors that range from light brown to nearly black".
Question 3:
What does the term Black or African American mean to you?
Question 4:
After reading this, will you research the term "white people" to do a comparison between the two terms?

The COOL is a category on this blog that has been blank for awhile now. I just haven't seen anything that I haven't seen before. Maybe I'm expecting too much. Or maybe I'm walking around with my eyes closed. Here's a promise. I'm going to start filling The COOL section up with pics from my camera. I'm COOLEST guy I know. I'm going start posting more of my own coolness.

Between Me and You
Does the President know that his country wants him to fail? Does he know that everytime he speaks on any issue, whether if he is stating his opinion or facts, somebody will be recording every word he utters? Is the President aware of the history of the government that he is now heading? A government full of secrets, death, and corruption. When you are the most powerful black man this country has every had, trying to reassemble a world that has been broken by past adminstrations, who can you trust? What does leader mean to angry southerns that didn't and will not vote for CHANGE no matter what year we are in?

Between Me & You...
Between me and you... I still wonder why people don't understand that what may work for some will not work for everyone. There is a set design for everything that we experience in life. We all go through the same problems but we also experience a number of different outcomes. Just know that your outcomes are a reflection of your actions as well as the timing of your actions.---PJ

What's going on?
Things are changing all round us. In the past two months, more people have pasted away than I can ever recall. In addition to the countless random occurances that continue to happen daily around the world, Hollywood alone has lost Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Steve McNair, Billy Mayes, and Walter Cronkite in the past three weeks. The people that we once looked to for insight, joy, and laughter are slowly approaching their final curtain call. What happens when our heros become human suddenly and disappear in the blink of an eye? Who well be the next legendary figure to influence the world in more ways than one? You decide...

Worst Tribute Show Ever Created by Man Award goes to...
I cannot believe that B.E.T. decided to honor Michael Jackson's life and legacy in such a fashion. Michael would have never been apart of anything so unorganized. Even though the news of Michael Jackson's death came suddenly, I personally feel that he should have been honored throughout the show by the people who were receiving awards followed by a moment of silence at the end of the program. Michael Jackson's impact on music and the world was far greater than what was displayed on the award show.
