Eryka Badu is catching a lot of heat over this video. Tell me what you think...
As an artist myself, we have to be ready to do whatever it takes to get our point across. Whether if its through paints, pencils, stencils, dance, song, film, or writing, we have a responsibility to creatively document what we see, feel, and experience. If she (Ms. Badu) had not shot the video the way she did, we probably wouldn't be talking about it (unless you're a fan) and the media wouldn't have paid the song any attention. Who cares if the record sales 5 or 5 million copies. The point is that the video successfully created a buzz. But remember, you have to pay the cost to be successful.
Keep your head up Eryka

We are not Alone...
Last week, while at my uncle's house in DC, a question was asked about my knowledge of the 32 planets that were just recently found. In amazement and disbelief I decided to some research. Turns out that the story is not fictional.

DC is Major Center for Single Living
October 28, 2009
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Demographers say Washington is becoming the nation's mecca for singles as new census data shows living alone is becoming more prevalent.
Statistics released Tuesday show every jurisdiction in the Washington region has had a jump in single households. But the numbers were most stark in D.C. and Alexandria where nearly half of all households have just one person. Arlington was close behind.
The national average is 28 percent.
Brookings Institution demographer William Frey says the numbers show Washington is a major center for single living.
Experts say widowed baby boomers are staying in place. Also, there's less stigma attached to living alone. And young adults are spending time in Washington finishing their education and building their careers.
